Four Seasons of Bread Loaf Mountain
The Bread Loaf Section is named after Bread Loaf Mountain in Ripton, Vermont
The section of the Long Trail that we maintain is in the Green Mountain National Forest, portions of which are in the Breadloaf Wilderness and the Battell Wilderness. A small section also crosses the Middlebury College Snow Bowl property in Hancock.
We maintain the section of the Long Trail is from Sucker Brook Shelter to Emily Proctor Shelter.
Our Section holds Outings on the Long Trail but we also schedule many Outings in areas in and outside of Addison County, Vermont.
