We were excited to come together on Sept. 20th to participate in Long Trail Day Hike-a-Thon, a fundraiser supporting Green Mountain Club. As a maintaining section, we understand how hard it is to maintain the Long Trail System. Every donation—big or small—helped us reach our fundraising goal and directly impacted this important cause.
Our section celebrated by hosting three different hikes on Long Trail Day. After the hikes, the Bread Loaf Section gathered at Woodchuck Hard Cidery in Middlebury to hear stories of the day and relax with a beverage. The hikes were of varying lengths; one at Bristol Cliffs and two on the Long Trail. Please consider joining a hike. Hike details were shared on our website calendar. Thank you so much for your support! Hope to see you on the trail!

We raised $1439 in 2025. Thank you!
Last year's LT Day hikes included hikes on Worth Mountain, Burnt Hill, and the Bread Loaf Wilderness covering multiple routes on the Long Trail.
Our team raised the 4th most funds as a team in support of the Green Mountain Club. We also led four hikes, the most LTD hikes of any section. All the funds raised support GMC and the Long Trail.
