How are our Work Days scheduled and managed
About 2 weeks before a scheduled workday, Bread Loaf Section's Trails Manager, sends an email reminder to everyone on our crew list asking to be notified whether or not the volunteer will join to work crew for that work day.
Our Trails Manager needs to know a couple of days in advance of the number and types of tools and gear needed.
Usually a work day starts about 8:30 a.m., meeting either at the Ripton Community Center or up at Middlebury Gap on Rt. 125. The location is always included in the warning email.
Workers should wear boots, bring water and snacks, and dress appropriately for the weather.
